Universal rules — apply to every project

Holdout Class — applies to the projects listed below

The Holdout class is used for specific objects that may be confused with the target class but should not be detected by the model.

▸ Current Holdout Objects

• Cones

• Sticks

• Shadows from equipment / trees if they are pre-annotated or you think would be confused with other primary classes.

• Only annotate objects that are explicitly listed above as Holdout. This list will be managed and expanded over time.
• If the object already has a dedicated class in the project, use that class instead of Holdout.

▸ Annotation Type

• Use the same annotation type as the main class in the project.

• If you notice a recurring false positive that may be useful to add to the Holdout list, share a screenshot with the team for review.

▸ Important Notes

• White carton-ish objects at the end of the rows are not cartons, these are just there to secure the poles. Please do not label them as cartons in any projects.
